Select Offshore is recruiting experienced Wind Turbine Commissioning Supervisors to support large-scale onshore wind farm projects across Japan.
This role is suited to commissioning professionals with strong technical capability across electrical, mechanical, and functional commissioning phases on modern utility-scale wind turbines.
You will play a key role in ensuring turbines are commissioned safely, correctly, and in line with OEM procedures and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise wind turbine commissioning activities including electrical, mechanical, and functional testing
- Lead commissioning crews and coordinate with installation, quality, and site management teams
- Execute commissioning activities in line with OEM manuals, test procedures, and quality standards
- Manage fault finding, troubleshooting, and punch list resolution during commissioning
- Ensure strict adherence to site safety systems, permits to work, and lock-out tag-out procedures
- Complete commissioning documentation, test records, and daily progress reports
- Support handover from installation through to operational readiness
- Proven experience commissioning onshore wind turbines on utility-scale projects
- Strong understanding of modern multi-MW turbine systems
- Experience working to OEM commissioning procedures and test protocols
- Confident supervising teams and managing interfaces on live construction sites
- GWO certifications including BST and BTT
- Comfortable working rotational contracts involving periods inside and outside Japan
- Long-term contract opportunities on major onshore wind projects
