Management & Oversight:
Manage and oversee Control and Regulation support functions for the Rates Business. Ensure the delivery of quality control across daily, weekly, and monthly operations supporting front office sales. Ensure compliance with all internal and external control requirements. Provide comprehensive analysis and reporting to Business and Middle Office management via KPI/KRI/MBR processes.
Participate in special projects including, but not limited to, performance analysis, implementation, and support for new business or regulatory initiatives.
Provide detailed specifications and conduct testing for new technologies. Collaborate with regional/global peers to develop controlled, simplified, and scalable processes with minimal touchpoints. Develop and supervise Rates Middle Office team members, providing clear direction and support for their professional growth. Champion diversity and inclusion as a priority within the team.Provide daily management support for the local team in Japan (e.g., One-to-Ones, Goal Setting, Mid & Year End Reviews, Cross Training implementation).
Strong knowledge of Rates Derivative products, with a comprehensive understanding of Fixed Income and Derivative products. Expertise in at least one asset class (e.g., Interest Rate Swaps, Swaptions, JGBs) is essential.Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated experience in a Middle Office or Operations role, specifically within a Finance Middle Office or Operations function.
Proven experience in leading and developing a team. Ability to lead, influence, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and individuals across different backgrounds and nationalities. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. JSDA Registered Representative (Internal Control Manager or Class I preferred).Education:
