Job Title: Distribution Business Manager

This position requires a native level of Japanese proficiency to communicate with our Japanese distributors.

About the Role

The End-User Computing Division empowers employees to do their best work from anywhere, through smart, seamless, and secure experiences.

We are designing and engineering VMware Anywhere Workspace, a holistic platform built on our industry-leading solutions for virtual apps, desktops, unified endpoint management, and security. Our platform enables us to deliver upon our Autonomous Workspace vision, the next evolution of our offering that leverages data and artificial intelligence, to create workspaces that are self-configuring, self-healing, and self-securing.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement go-to-market strategies, processes, and priorities within your territory's distribution channel.
  • Work with strategic distributors to ensure they have the competency and skills required to expand and grow while executing across our strategic business priorities.
  • Establish relationships with colleagues and senior leadership across your partners, build solid knowledge and understanding of our technologies, and navigate internal & external processes and best practices.
  • Develop a regular business cadence and manage partner opportunities to build and sustain a pipeline and identify new areas for expansion.

Requirements:

  • Depth of experience in distribution sales, management, and/or business development from a technology vendor or from working at a distributor. Minimum of ten years of channel/distribution experience is expected.
  • A strong sales background with demonstrated track record of strategic planning and/or sales ecosystem partners, distributors, and aggregators.
  • Experience in designing/driving complex projects, programs to achieve set objectives and ROI targets.
  • Excellent communication skills and thoughtful subtlety, especially around communicating financial trends.
  • The successful candidate should expect to work flexible hours, including being able to travel approximately 25-50% of the time.

Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
