JR48400 Senior AMHS Design Engineer, Global AMHS

You will be part of Micron's FE Automation Team and responsible for design and implementation of Micron's next generation AMHS systems for Micron's global network of manufacturing sites.

Your objective is to design and implement factory automation systems that push boundaries and achieve world-class performance. Projects will include green field systems as well as existing system upgrades and modifications of varying scale.

Responsibilities:

• Design OHT Layouts using AutoCAD: Lead designing OHT (Over Head Transport) layout using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with Vendors: Manage and collaborate with automation vendors to enhance designs and secure required lead times.
• Simulation and Validation: Engage with the Global AMHS Simulation team to test and validate OHT designs.
• Design Reviews: Actively participate in design reviews with Micron's Construction, Facilities, and Equipment Layout teams to ensure the proper AMHS design and requirements are captured for construction.
• Capital Budget Forecasts: Provide capital budget forecasts.
• Regional Liaison: Serve as a regional first point of contact for Global AMHS Operation and Design teams.
• Presentation Skills: Present to large groups including executive level leadership.
• Data Analysis: Perform data collection and analysis to define design criteria, validate designs, identify system behavior that can be adjusted to improve system performance.
• Document Management: Manage a SharePoint portal and maintain a design document repository.
• Travel Requirements: This position will require both domestic and international travel.

Requirements:

• Education: BS degree in related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Language Proficiency: Proficient in English both verbal and written.
• Autodesk Skills: Familiarity with Autodesk AutoCAD(2D/3D).
• Experience: Semiconductor Automation experience over 3 years or equivalent experience.
• Project Management: Management experience of large scale project.

Desired Skills:

• Autodesk Revit Experience: Experience with Autodesk Revit.
• Expert Level Proficiency: Expert level proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD (2D/3D) and BIM360/ACC.
