This role involves developing diffusion processes, improving process margins, and collaborating with manufacturing teams to ensure successful technology transfer and deployment.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Support diffusion process developments and improvements, including technology transfer and deployment in R&D and manufacturing environments.
- Identify and evaluate interactions between equipment, modules, and processes, and resolve related issues.
- Resolve yield and reliability issues through process development and improvement.
- Collaborate with vendors on strategic process and hardware evaluations.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to understand manufacturing issues and improve processes.
- Engage with product integration teams to understand the implications of inline, probe, and parametric data and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Design and develop multi-level SWRs using DOE concepts and develop frameworks for process changes and conversions.
- Initiate and manage experiments to widen process margins and test manufacturability of next-generation solutions.
- Incorporate best known manufacturing methods into early development phases of upcoming nodes.
- Provide documentation for new technology transfer and collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to key improvement projects.
- Drive technical strategy for the diffusion process area to meet DRAM and high-performance CMOS technology scaling targets.
- Collaborate effectively with equipment and chemical vendors to ensure alignment and build positive relationships for long-term success.
- Mentor and role model for team members to build technical and leadership talent pipeline.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in chemical/material/mechanical/electronics/physics with at least 5 years of working experience in semiconductor, electronic, or chemical processes.
- Good understanding of process concepts and interactions between hardware and process.
- Strong desire and creativity to explore process and control improvements.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including written and oral communication.
- Proven ability to set, measure, and achieve short- and long-term goals.
- Demonstrated success in leading across functional teams in defining and solving process problems.
