As a Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for resolving technical issues with OneSource tax solution clients in Japan.

This role requires deep appreciation of the product technology, customer requirements and solution implementation details. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and excellent communication skills to work with various stakeholders within Thomson Reuters.

Responsibilities

• Responding to problems, incidents and escalations raised by Japan OneSource Tax solution customers.
• Be the single-point-of contact for Japan customer issues.
• Provide leadership and communication to various issue resolution teams.
• Participate in Major Incident process, supporting resolution, post incident reviews and embedding learning.
• Gather and analyze metrics to understand where quality exists and where support is needed.
• Maintain customer specific site documentation.
• Liaise with customer IT departments as needed.
• Collaborate with support partners and product specialists to provide feedback on product performance, stability etc.
• Work directly with Product engineering and Service Design teams, to drive quality and ensure best practices are followed.
• Provide a balanced view of product feature development as required by Japanese customers/market and work with product team.
• Continually build and refresh your technical skills in Software Development, automation, and cloud computing.

About You

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, preferably in a software engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in software development and/or experience supporting applications in the cloud (AWS, AZURE, Etc.), working with SaaS technologies and systems.
• Understanding of the technologies used to build and operate distributed application systems (Network, Security, APIs, Etc.).
• Understanding and experience working with SQL, Excel Macros.
• Native Japanese skillsets with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Good critical thinking, communication, presentation, documentation, troubleshooting and collaborative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to flex styles to work well with a range of stakeholders from extremely technical engineers to non-technical business leaders.

• Ability to influence others and drive consensus across stakeholder groups.
• Travel requirements vary by client and project but typically less than 20%.
