In this role, you'll report directly to the Head of IT for Asia Pacific (based outside of Japan), functioning separately to, but in collaboration with, local and regional IT Helpdesk operations teams.
It requires a technically competent, mature professional who can deliver these projects independently, whilst working collaboratively with local and regional IT helpdesk operations.
You will be primarily Tokyo-based, with frequent travel to the numerous sites around the country, offering an exciting opportunity to visit and work in many different locations in and around Japan※ Applicants must be residents of Japan and must meet the minimum Japanese language skill requirements.
Required Language Ability:
- Both English and Japanese language skills are required (Speaking – Excellent; Writing – Good; Reading – Good)
Desired Experience:
- 4+ years experience performing a similar role
- Computer OS/Peripherals troubleshooting
- Supporting different PC Operating Systems (Windows 10/11, Surface and Apple)
- Performing PC software installations, imaging and general PC kitting
- Network experience – router, firewall device setup/configuration
- Good knowledge of MS Office tools installation & troubleshooting
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- Field experience supporting a variety of technologies and services
