Job Description
As a Project Developer for Solar and Wind, you will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of renewable energy projects. You will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget while adhering to all regulatory requirements and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and due diligence to identify new project opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
- Coordinate and manage the project scheduling, ensuring alignment with company objectives and timelines.
- Engage with various stakeholders, including government bodies, to facilitate the origination and development of projects.
- Prepare and present proposals to internal and external stakeholders, showcasing project viability and securing necessary approvals.
- Collaborate with engineering, finance, and legal teams to ensure all aspects of project development are met efficiently.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management, addressing any potential risks or issues.
- Advocate for projects with local governments and communities, utilizing METI regulations and lobbying strategies.
- Stay current on industry trends, policies, and technologies related to solar and wind energy.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Proficient understanding of renewable energy technologies, especially solar and wind.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired Experience:
- 1 to 4 years of experience in project management, particularly in the renewable energy sector.
- Experience in project origination, development, and due diligence.
- Familiarity with METI regulations and experience lobbying with government agencies is a plus.
