In Asia Pacific, ING offers wholesale banking across 11 markets, namely Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

Function Overview
Works with and supports the Global Cash Management (BMG) Sales team and Transaction Services (TS) Sales team in Tokyo Branch.
BMG is a niche player for liquidity and information management services, providing customized global liquidity management solutions, serving some of the world's largest multinationals around the globe.
TS Sales teams in the organisation's network to advise on complex transactions and with the structuring of Payments & Collections, Working Capital Solutions, Supply Chain Finance and receivables solutions in Trade.
Both BMG and TS Sales are part of ING Wholesale Banking.
What would you be doing?
The intern will play a key role in assisting the coverage organization to manage and develop productive relationships with our target clients and make sure that we are able to meet our regulatory compliance requirements in terms of Know Your Customer (KYC). The role will also provide the intern with the opportunity to gain understanding of the banking world and the different ING products and services across our organization.
Specific tasks include:
Assist in researching clients' website, data collection, company news, and preparing summary in Excel / PowerPoint for internal and external meetings
Support the preparation of pitch presentations by refining formatting, color schemes, and layout dimensions according to provided instructions.
Perform website-based research on designated projects under the guidance of team members.
Support the preparation of interest charts using Excel, as well as proposal documents in Word and PowerPoint.
Work in close coordination with the team to support the planning and execution of both client and internal events, if any are scheduled.
Provide occasional support in translating documents as needed.

We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:
Qualifications:
Valid residence permit in Japan / Japanese national
A student majoring in Business, Accountancy, or Economics is preferred; however, candidates from other academic backgrounds are also welcome to apply.
Skills & competencies:
Native-level proficiency in Japanese and good written communication skills in English are required.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Self-motivated, proactive, diligent, and capable of working independently while being a strong team player.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a multicultural team environment.
