Job Purpose


The core responsibilities of Assistant Manager position will include managing both internal and external communications, developing and building strong relationship with press, celebrities and influencers, and be responsible for managing product loans for editorial and media purposes in Japan for both Miu Miu and Church's.

She/He will be responsible for enhancing brand value and awareness through all of its public relations activities, especially by actively leading the communication of Miu Miu's new brand image.

Responsibilities


Maximize effective media coverage based on headquarter/local communication strategy including proposing ideas, approaching medias, negotiating with medias and headquarters, product loaning, proofreading and creating coverage reports.

Enhance brand awareness and improving brand image for both Miu Miu and Church's.
Build good relationships with press, celebrities, influencers, PR and event agencies.
Be responsible for product sample management, including deliveries, inventory, and sample loans.
Plan and execute press presentations, sample sale and inventory counting.
Prepare all the press materials and distribute on a timely manner to ensure consistent brand messaging.
Check and report PR exposures.
Propose and execute local celebrity and influencer activations in line with the global directions and local communication strategies (including digital content creation, product seeding and event casting)
Work cross-functionally with relevant teams to support senior manager to execute brand-driven image events.
Collaborate with internal teams and support PR team member and temporary staff.

Knowledge And Skills

Bachelor's degree

Minimum 5 years of experience in public relations, preferably within the fashion or luxury industry

Have a strong network of press contacts

Be skilled in negotiating with the media

Be able to develop press related materials

Have a strong network with celebrities/influencers and good relationships with talent/casting agencies will be an asset

Well-organized, positive, highly proactive, adaptable, accurate, detail-minded, good problem-solving skills, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility

Able to proactively propose ideas and think creatively out of the box

Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and capable of navigating complex or evolving situations with confidence

Strong fashion sensibility and understanding of brand aesthetics

Exceptional communication and writing skills in Japanese

Business level of English skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with global teams and headquarters

Team-oriented mindset, capable of building strong relationships across functions and levels

Computer Literate – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SNS/Social tools
