About the position

WalkMe pioneered the Digital Adoption Platform (DAP) to empower business leaders to accomplish the promise of technology in today's overwhelming digital world. We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director, People to lead our talent and teamwork agendas across the organization. This role is crucial in driving our human resources strategy, with a focus on fostering a high-performance culture, ensuring effective HR operations, and supporting our teams across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The Director, People will work closely with the VP, People and other senior leaders to align our people strategy with business objectives.

What You'll Own

  • Leadership & Strategy:
  • Lead the development and execution of the company's talent strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Provide strategic HR leadership across all APAC regions, addressing local and regional challenges while maintaining global consistency.
  • Collaborate with the VP, People to drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, development, and retention.
  • Partner side by side with country GM and senior leadership.
  • Talent Management:
  • Partner with talent acquisition for streamlined processes, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent in all regions.
  • Lead talent development programs, including succession planning, leadership development, and performance management.
  • Implement strategies for retaining critical talent while building talent plans for enhancing workforce skills and capabilities.
  • HR Operations & Compliance:
  • Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with local laws and regulations across all APAC regions.
  • Lead the management of employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and practices.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with company strategy.
  • Culture & Employee Experience:
  • Champion a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the company's values and mission.
  • Develop and implement initiatives that enhance employee well-being, engagement, and productivity.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on matters related to people and culture.
  • Cross-Regional Collaboration:
  • Foster collaboration across different regions, ensuring consistency in HR practices while respecting local customs and business needs.
  • Provide leadership in managing organizational change, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with a focus on talent management and multi-region HR support.
  • Proven experience in leading HR operations across the APAC region, with a deep understanding of regional labor laws and cultural nuances.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, able to balance big-picture vision with day-to-day execution.
  • Experience in driving change management initiatives and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
