General Summary
New senior director to have responsibility for regional industrial IoT business development directly supporting regional customers and closely working with QCT San Diego business unit team as a Japan Industrial IoT lead especially for industorial robotics. This position requires very close communications across different teams in the region such as sales, marketing and customer engineering team. The key roles are as below.

  • Have the good understanding Qualcomm IoT strategy and plan about commercial conditions, product roadmap, and legal contract schemes.
  • Promote and expand Snapdragon SoC, Modem module, and Wi-Fi/BT connectivity by developing the regional opportunities especially for the industorial robotics opportunites.
  • Requirement capturing: Capture customer demand from customers, partners, and distributors, and capture Japan market trend from communication with IoT industry eco system. Share those with San Diego BU team and promote to support those for expanding the IoT business.
  • Lead relationship building with industry players especially for the industorial robotics.
  • Review business development strategies to ensure alignment with overall corporate strategies.
  • Business development: Establish relation with senior executive and management level of customers and develop new opportunity together with San Diego product team and other functions in Qualcomm Japan office.
  • Manage the IoT BD team in Japan office as a leader of the group.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Understanding of whole IoT industry in Japan and it's trend.
  • Understanding of the industorial robotics business industry requirement, development cycle and business decision criteria.
  • Relation and contact with key players in IoT customer and partners.
  • More than 10 years of IoT system architecture design, development related experience in IoT industry. More than 5years project management experiences.
  • Connected to the major IoT OEMs in industry and knowing the key executives and key management in IoT industries.
  • Experience of robotics development and business.
  • Experience of business development create 3rd party eco system.
  • Understanding of latest smartphone services, software.
  • International experience and knowing cultural differences
  • Regular reports and strategic planning for regional business.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skill.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English & Japanese. TOEIC 800 or equivalent.
