About the Role
This position requires expertise in Electron Optics, including Optical System design, Lens Design, and Tolerance Analysis of Complex Optical Systems.
- Strong knowledge of high voltage electronics is essential.
- Experience with surface science of electron-surface interactions is required.
- Design and modelling of ultra-high vacuum systems are critical skills.
- The ideal candidate will be able to develop top-level system specifications, sub-system error budget, interfaces, and working parameters for an optimum hardware solution.
- Staying up-to-date on related external research and developments is necessary.
- Collaboration with the CTO team to develop new suppliers and research partners is expected.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment is mandatory.
- Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
The position is based in the U.S. and requires relocation to Milpitas, CA.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is between $198,500 - $347,400 USD.
Requirements
A doctorate degree and 8 years of related experience or a Master's Level Degree and 12 years of experience or a Bachelor's Level Degree and 15 years of experience are required.
