Software Engineer Internship: Job Description

Join us for a unique four to six-week onsite tech internship* with HENNGE, offering you both personal and professional development opportunities. You will work alongside our experienced Cloud Product Development engineers with a dedicated mentor while experiencing the dynamics of working in a Japanese company that prides itself on cultivating an internationally diverse culture.
In HENNGE's Global Internship Program, you will acquire practical application development skills using Python, Go, and/or TypeScript. This program will give you hands-on experience using state-of-the-art cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, offering a full-stack experience for application development. Japanese ability is not required as English is our primary language.
*All interns are required to join our internship program in our headquarters in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan, for 4-6 weeks

[QUALIFICATIONS]
Essential:
- At least third-year students or fresh graduates with BS, MS or PhD in Computer Sciences or related field
- Proficiency with Python or Go
- Knowledge of Unix / Linux environments
- Programming experience in any language
- Fluency in English (Japanese not required)
- Interested in open source or tech community activities
Preferred:
- Interested in pursuing a career in Japan
- Interested in Cloud Computing
- Knowledge of distributed systems
- Experience in Full-stack Web Application development
- For Front-End Engineering-oriented path: Proficiency in TypeScript with React / Vue / Svelte
- For DevOps-oriented path: Knowledge in AWS and Terraform
