Central Operations (CO) serves as the backbone of Amazon Logistics (AMZL), enabling scalable management of our increasingly complex last-mile delivery network.
This role offers an opportunity to support a rapidly evolving part of AMZL, leading the development of best-in-class operations that drive effective, real-time decisions to maximize both customer and driver experiences on the road.
As Program Mgr of Central operations , you will lead multiple programs to solve the customer problems that impacts customer promise and balance the cost.
You will build and implement programs , systems, and mechanisms to execute the short and mid term solves and work with global (NA/EU) teams, you will drive both short-and long-term strategic enhancements to improve operator and customer experience , network resilience, and balance tradeoffs.
The ideal candidate is an analytical problem-solver who can balance a deep understanding of customer experience and ability to drive programs from conception through implementation at pace is essential , with strong stakeholder management, the ability to influence across organizations, and excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
This role requires strategic thinking to enhance our program capabilities while ensuring operational excellence in real-time response situations.The main tasks you will be responsible for in this position are as follows:
- Business cycle management and strategy planning for the Central Operations (CO)
Key job responsibilities
Designing and modeling new programs for developing business needs to prove quality, cost, and scalability goals as critical outputs.
Gathering and analyzing data across order fulfillment functions to establish global standards for operations in partnership with cross functional teams.
Building strong partnership with operations field leaders to understand improvement opportunities and drive bench marking study and standardization with NA/EU CO teamAnalyzing and solving operational barriers with a focus on understanding root causes and driving forward solves.
Leading project teams to plan, organize, and execute complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders to enable the launch of new projects and processes.
Innovating to improve customer experience and continuously remove cost from our fulfillment network.Designing new metrics and enhancing existing metrics to support the future state of the business.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of program or project management experience
3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
3+ years of driving process improvements experience
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
