Job Description: Project Manager (BESS)
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
- Lead project management activities in the field of industrial energy systems and power utilities.
- Oversee all phases of construction management and site supervision for BESS projects.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders including clients, contractors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Negotiate agreements with EPC contractors ensuring favorable terms and compliance with project goals.
- Utilize basic electrical knowledge to make informed decisions during project execution.
- Manage and mentor team members to enhance productivity and project outcomes.
- Maintain effective communication and reporting throughout project stages to keep management informed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all project activities.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management within the energy sector, particularly in power utilities or EPC companies.
- PMP certification is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in managing battery energy storage systems projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while leading projects independently.
- Excellent negotiation, coordination, and communication skills.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management roles, specifically related to construction and energy systems.
- Demonstrated experience in site supervision and management of subcontractors.
- Experience in negotiation with EPC contractors and managing external partnerships.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards in energy systems.
