Located in Shibaura, Tokyo, and founded in 1979, the company is a large-scale technical services company with over 45 years of experience, primarily operating in the telecommunications, IT, and social infrastructure sectors. With a stable workforce of approximately 1,000 employees, it provides high-quality in-house, offshore, and contract-based services, addressing real challenges at client sites while placing strong emphasis on quality, continuous improvement, and sustainability. The company also operates its own offshore subsidiary in Vietnam, and by closely coordinating its operations in Japan and overseas, it is committed to creating an environment where engineers can grow and develop over the long term.
Position Highlights
A core role in global development projects spanning both Japan and Vietnam
As a Bridge Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth progress in quality, scheduling, and development by effectively bridging cultural, technical, and communication gaps between Japan and Vietnam
The company places great importance on long-term engineer development as well as site-driven process improvement and operational design; therefore, your performance evaluation will be closely tied to project progress and overall success.
As a Bridge Engineer, you will connect development teams in Japan and Vietnam and be responsible for the following tasks:
・Gather requirements and clarify specifications from Japanese clients and internal stakeholders
・Translate, explain, and communicate requirements and specifications to the Vietnam development team
・Manage development progress and quality (QCD management)
・Handle questions, identify issues, and support problem resolution
・Review deliverables and confirm test results
・Coordinate and report project status to clients and internal stakeholders
・Identify issues related to offshore development and design appropriate solutions
You will work on development projects mainly in the telecommunications, IT, and social infrastructure sectors, supporting project success as a bridge between development and business.
About the Vietnamese Team:
The team consists of 20 members: 15 full-time employees and 5 interns from Hanoi University.
Requirements
(Must Have)
・Practical experience in system or software development (approximately 3+ years)
・Business-level Japanese communication skills (JLTP N2 +)
・Experience in offshore development with Vietnam-based teams
・Strong skills in requirement analysis, coordination, and stakeholder communication
(Nice to Have)
・Experience working as a Bridge Engineer
・Experience in requirements definition and basic system design
・Project management experience (progress and quality control)
・Work experience at a Japanese company
・Development knowledge in one or more of the following:Java, PHP, JavaScript, Python
