Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager
Location: San Francisco, CA (hybrid schedule)
Duration: 4 month contract with potential to extend or convert to a FT opportunity
Pay Rate: $45.00-$50.00/hr
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager, Store Operations & Facilities to lead enterprise-level sourcing initiatives across store operations and facilities. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to develop category strategies, manage end-to-end sourcing activities, and deliver measurable cost savings and value across goods and services supporting a large retail footprint in the U.S. and Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier analysis, RFP/RFX execution, negotiations, contract finalization, and handoff to business partners
- Develop and execute category strategies for store supplies, services, and facilities-related spend
- Partner with stakeholders to align sourcing plans to business objectives, timelines, and budgets
- Manage supplier negotiations, contract approvals, and compliance with sourcing processes
- Identify cost-reduction and spend-leverage opportunities across regions and functions
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and support broader sourcing initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of strategic sourcing experience, preferably within retail store operations or facilities categories
- Proven success managing sourcing projects end to end and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or equivalent experience
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive savings and influence change in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, analytics, and sourcing/procurement tools
- Comfortable working in a hybrid office environment with occasional travel
