Business level Japanese and English language skills are required. Amazon Japan seeks a dynamic, organized self-starter as Fulfillment (FC) Finance Manager of the West Region. This position leads finance and controllership efforts for the West region fulfillment network, driving cost and process improvement. The Finance Manager provides key decision-making support to FC site leaders, regional directors, and other business partners and stakeholders. The regional manager leads a team of financial analysts.

The successful candidate prioritizes and drives multiple projects, working in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, and problem-solve. A track record of management and development of teams is required.

Key job responsibilities include ensuring exceptional controllership, overseeing the monthly close process, and auditing data to ensure its accuracy. The Finance Manager owns the preparation of the annual operating plan, manages reviews to track and update progress against the plan, and guides the business team in planning and executing new initiatives. The position champions technology and automation improvements for the finance function and continuously seeks out opportunities for customer experience improvements and cost reduction.

A day in the life of the Finance Manager may involve helping business partners assess the financial impacts of initiatives, developing financial plans, coaching and developing the team, or exploring ideas to drive improvements at the sites.

Basic qualifications include a BA/BS degree, 7+ years of related experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to solve complex problems using data and metrics. Preferred qualifications include experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools, an MBA or professional certification, and previous experience in a logistics or manufacturing environment.
