About the team
JP Events and Deal mission is to delight customers by creating shopping Events with seasonal, socio-cultural and personal relevance, positioning Amazon as the best place for customers to shop and for selling partners to sell.
We play a critical role in empowering teams to deliver these events, while leveraging technology to scale in an automated manner.
As a seasoned product leader, you will set the next 3Y vision for automation and scaling of Deals & Events at Amazon.
You will work with an experienced and customer obsessed team of product, tech, data science, UX, and marketing leaders to execute on that vision.
Key job responsibilities- Build an inspiring Deals Automation product roadmap working customer backwards
- Keen penchant to understand pain points in the deal sourcing, creation and reporting processes across teams and solve them through innovative solutions, leveraging technology
- Partner with global Deals product and tech stakeholders to adapt solutions to suit Japan customer and selling partner nuances
- Work with crossfunctional stakeholders to align business objectives, identify and leverage broader synergies and manage tradeoffs, including teams of software engineers, applied machine learning scientists, product managers, user interface designers, and others
- Lead ongoing execution against the roadmap, resolve escalations, engage productively with global teams
- Demonstrate strong ability to write detailed product business requirements, excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work effectively and influence multiple global teams, and a motivation to achieve results in a fastpaced environment

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Business level Japanese
