The impact of the role:
We're hiring on behalf of Moro Technology Corporation (MTC), the leading company within our group for a Tech Lead position.
As a Tech Lead, you will blend deep technical expertise with strategic oversight to ensure the successful delivery of robust software solutions. You'll guide engineering teams through design and implementation decisions while actively contributing code, resolving complex technical challenges, and fostering a high-performance development culture. Your leadership will help shape both the technical direction and the team behind our most important projects.
On a given day, a Tech Lead will:
- Lead architecture discussions and make high-level design decisions to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Write, review, and implement clean, efficient code using modern full-stack technologies.
- Mentor and support engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and growth planning.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Project Managers, and Product Owners to define project requirements and timelines.
- Set coding standards, promote engineering best practices, and encourage knowledge sharing across the team.
- Stay current with new technologies and proactively identify tools or frameworks that can enhance team productivity.
- Participate in strategic planning, helping to align technology direction with business goals.
Requirements
What Sets You Up for Success
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of hands-on software development experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or senior engineering role.
- Proven experience with both frontend and backend development, focused in Python and JavaScript language and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of system design, APIs, databases (SQL & NoSQL), and cloud infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- A collaborative approach with excellent communication skills, capable of working cross-functionally and cross-culturally.
- Fluency in English and Japanese language skills.
