Role mission

As the Bar Manager at Gucci, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our exclusive bar and lounge within our flagship stores. You will uphold the highest standards of service excellence, ensuring that every guest experience reflects the luxury and sophistication synonymous with the Gucci brand.

Key accountabilities

Bar Operations Management:

  • Lead and supervise all aspects of bar operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining par levels.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations to guarantee a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Implement standard operating procedures to optimize efficiency and streamline workflows.
  • Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and develop a team of talented bartenders and baristas, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to ensure staff members deliver exceptional service at all times.
  • Create and maintain employee schedules, balancing operational needs with staff availability.
  • Customer Experience:

  • Set the standard for impeccable service and hospitality, delivering personalized experiences that exceed guest expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clientele, anticipating their preferences and proactively addressing their needs.
  • Resolve any guest concerns or complaints promptly and effectively, demonstrating a commitment to service recovery and guest satisfaction.
  • Menu Development and Innovation:

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative and on-trend beverage offerings that align with Gucci's brand identity and ethos.
  • Curate a diverse selection of cocktails, mocktails, and specialty drinks that showcase quality ingredients and craftsmanship.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging beverage trends, incorporating new concepts and flavors into the menu as appropriate.
  • Requirements - Key behavioral competencies - basics

  • Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar role in a high-end hospitality environment, preferably within the luxury retail sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of beverage operations, including mixology, wine, and spirits.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for delivering unparalleled service experiences.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and POS software.
  • Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe) preferred.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong business English or Japanese language skills, both verbal and written, are required to interact with international guests and colleagues.
