Your Contribution
This position plays a key role in overseeing management accounting operations, supporting strategic planning, analyzing operations, and driving improvement initiatives.
You will lead controlling activities for Plant and R&D departments, strengthen team capabilities, and act as a business partner to senior management by leading performance and business management.
Additionally, you will support planning, budgeting, and closing activities, and implement measures to achieve business targets.
- Oversee management accounting operations for Plant or R&D departments
- Lead and develop the capabilities and effectiveness of the performance management and operations controlling team
- Manage R&D and project controlling
- Act as a business partner to senior management
- Support the definition and implementation of strategy and performance management
- Assist with planning, budgeting, forecasting, and closing activities
- Define, implement, and report measures to achieve targets
- Analyze operations (production, supply chain/logistics, quality) and identify improvement opportunities
- Define and implement measures for production optimization
- Prepare and submit controlling-related reports to headquarters in Germany
Your Experience & Qualifications
- Ability to work in Japanese (including reading and writing Kanji)
- Ability to work in English (speaking and writing)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably in Accounting or Business Administration)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in controlling within a manufacturing company
- Minimum 5 years of experience in team management
- Knowledge of automotive and supplier industry specifics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, BI tools, and ERP systems (SAP FI/CO module knowledge preferred)
