This position requires native-level Japanese language proficiency and business English skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze vendor proposals, negotiate and close contracts, providing recommendations to management.
• Evaluate sourcing requirements and ensure they are fully reflected in purchase orders and contract implementation.
• Implement Just-In-Time stock management and reduce lead times.
• Develop and implement inventory strategies that align with production requirements and follow established guidelines.
• Purchase items requiring quality and/or compatibility assessments.
• Review weekly output from internal customers, including material requirements planning for requisitions.
• Maintain accurate master planning data within business systems.
• Contribute to designing plans, systems, and tracking mechanisms to optimize material requirements.
• Negotiate operational relationships with relevant suppliers and manage ongoing supplier programs.
• Forecast medium-term cost price developments.
• Synchronize purchase orders with manufacturing operations.
• Advise Product Management and Supply Management on stagnation issues.
• Troubleshoot supply bottlenecks and inventory delays independently.
• Engage in market scanning to stay informed about supplier markets, new market developments, etc.
• Assess quotations, conduct cost price analyses, negotiate deals, and select suppliers.
• Determine inventory strategies to ensure timely and adequate inventory flow.
• Recommend cost-saving proposals, including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria.
