Job Title:
A Medical Science Liaison is required to support the development of Key Expert Educators (KEEs) and provide high-quality medical and scientific support to internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise and support the development of KEEs, providing them with necessary tools and resources.
- Provide high-quality medical and scientific support to internal and external customers through advisory board meetings, training courses/workshops, literature research, and data analysis.
- Manage Phase IV studies and IIT, ensuring that proposals align with medical objectives locally and globally.
- Ensure study projects are in line with brand objectives and planned local medical activities are transferred to physicians.
- Maintain a high level of scientific and technical expertise in therapeutic areas, developing and increasing knowledge of medical literature.
- Prepare and present critical reviews of scientific publications and congresses internally and externally.
- Complete necessary documentations to ensure knowledge preservation and use necessary tools to develop and follow up on strategic measures.
- Monitor competitor activities.
Requirements:
- Master's degree or above in medical science or clinical medicine.
- At least 5-10 years of experience in scientific professional roles in the Medical Affairs/Research department of pharmaceutical companies.
- Ph.D. in medical science or clinical medicine.
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in the oncology area as a Medical Science Liaison with pre-/post-launch activities.
Competencies:
- Scientific acumen: Demonstrated scientific mastery in prior therapeutic areas of focus.
- Strategic acumen: Good understanding of strategic needs of affiliate organizations.
- Statistical & data interpretation acumen: Able to understand and interpret data, form own opinions, and discuss with KEEs.
- Compliance acumen: Good understanding of and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Location: Ferring Japan
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
