We're looking for a motivated Finance / Investment Analyst Intern to join our investments team You'll get hands-on exposure to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), one of the fastest-growing areas in infrastructure and sustainability.
This role is ideal for students or recent graduates who want to understand how real assets generate value through financial modelling, portfolio analysis, and capital market insights.
About the RoleThis role involves supporting investment analysis and contributing to performance optimisation in the renewable energy and digital infrastructure sectors.
Responsibilities
Support investment analysis for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Build and refine financial models to assess project performance and portfolio returns.
Contribute to performance optimisation through:
BESS revenue forecasting (market prices, ancillary services, degradation).
Portfolio-level revenue and return analysis across multiple assets.
Interpret AI-generated insights to support investment decisions (no programming required).
Support capital raise analysis, including valuation, sensitivity analysis, and scenario testing.
Conduct market research and benchmarking of comparable assets and transactions.
Prepare presentations, reports, and investment materials for internal and external use.
Work closely with the investment and finance teams on active projects and portfolio initiatives.
Requirements
Currently studying or recently graduated in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
Interest in renewable energy, infrastructure, or sustainable investments.
Analytical, detail-oriented, with clear communication skills.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a small, dynamic team.
Strong interest in AI automation tools is a plus.
Working proficiency in both English and Japanese.
Preferred Skills
Experience in financial modelling and investment analysis.
