The Role
Deliver regional activation plans that drive top-of funnel awareness of the client in Japan, tailoring tactics to reach local audiences while ensuring alignment with global Marketing & Communications strategy.
What you'll do:
Lead and execute Japan-focused marketing and communications plans aligned with global campaigns
Act as the main marketing and communications partner for Japan, working closely with global teams
Drive media and PR activity, build strong journalist relationships, and support senior spokespeople
Secure and manage speaking opportunities for senior leaders at key regional events
Lead digital and social media strategy for Japan, localizing global campaigns for maximum impact
Track performance and use insights to continuously optimize activity
What You'll Bring
Fluent Japanese language skills with excellent written communication skills in both Japanese and in English.
Ability to independently draft compelling media and event materials, aligning with global key messaging, including on complex and sensitive topics.
Strong experience in media relations, including pitching to top-tier journalists, and preparing press materials and building a network of journalists.
Confidence in planning and executing Digital and Social media strategies to build brand presence and engagement, ideally with experience in lead management.
