AI Engineer – Role Overview
Specialises in designing and deploying GenAI solutions by crafting effective, domain-specific prompts and ensuring scalable, production-ready integration through MLOps practices.
Qualifications:
Prompt Engineering:
Create and optimise prompts to drive accurate and relevant LLM outputs tailored to specific business needs.
Business Domain Acumen:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand industry-specific terminology, processes, and challenges, enabling more effective AI solutions.
MLOps Integration:
Build, deploy, and manage GenAI pipelines using platforms such as MLflow or Azure ML, ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
Responsible AI:
Apply principles of fairness, transparency, and security, including bias mitigation and model explainability.
Responsibilities:
Analyse business requirements, design and implement solutions.
Develop applications in coordination with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Follow Software Development LIfecycle (SDLC) processes and support continuous improvement culture.
Ensure solutions meet customer needs within scope, schedule, and budget.
Escalate complex issues promptly and adhere to company methodologies.
Ensure compliance needs are met and customer impacts are assessed, while providing support during testing, handover, and post-implementation.
Estimate effort, report progress, and manage activities within budget.
Maintain accuracy and timeliness of output.
Mentor junior engineers and transfer knowledge effectively.
Identify and assess risks within your subject matter area, lead risk-related dialogue as the SME for that domain, and support stakeholders in making informed, risk-based decisions.
Mitigate risks in delivery while keeping to agreed plan and timeframes.Work Experience:

Experience in relational database and SQL development.
Experience in Servicenow development.
Qualifications:
Necessary Qualifications include:
Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
ITIL certification.
Servicenow Certified System Admin (CSA) certification.
