We face global challenges in environmental conservation, societal equity, and transitioning to a digital economy. Artificial intelligence can address some of these issues and create innovative approaches for a more sustainable economy and lifestyle.
Recursive is an AI consulting company based in Japan working on developing solutions to challenging problems. We collaborate with large Japanese enterprises to create innovative solutions to sustainability challenges, merging our expertise in AI research and our clients' domain knowledge. Our development projects focus on improving efficiency, accelerating innovation, risk mitigation, and better work and education.
Our founders have extensive experience in AI research and development. Tiago Ramalho was a Senior Research Engineer at Google Deepmind and Lead Research scientist at Cogent labs. Katsutoshi Yamada is a serial entrepreneur and AI expert with experience in developing and establishing innovative business models in Japan and abroad.
We are currently pursuing various initiatives, including a system to optimize irrigation of peatlands in Indonesia, helping to prevent forest fires and maximize carbon absorption.

The Role
We're looking for passionate students who want to start their career in the Machine Learning industry. You'll have the opportunity to work on exciting machine learning projects with our MLE team, including members from Google Deepmind.
Responsibilities
- Running and modifying Machine Learning experiments
- Analysing experimental results
- Writing experiment reports
- Reading papers on the latest machine learning research
- Testing novel algorithms by modifying open source code or developing from scratch
Requirements
