Department Overview
The Business Innovation Department within the Commerce & Marketing Company primarily launches and operates new businesses in the lodging, travel, and leisure fields.
We operate the 'Rakuten STAY business, which operates accommodation facilities with our own brand, the 'Vacation STAY' business, which is an accommodation and private lodging reservation site, and the 'Rakuten Travel Experience' business, which is an activity reservation site.

The Rakuten STAY business owns and operates various accommodation facilities throughout Japan. A number of projects are currently underway to open new facilities in Japan and abroad.

Position Details
The PMO group mainly supports project managers in new development projects of "Rakuten STAY" by understanding the entire process from the purchase of land to the opening of the accommodation facility, based on their expert knowledge of property development.
The project managers we support have the following specific roles.
Opening project manager
Project management of accommodation developments (mainly new construction) up to the opening of the accommodation.
Construction managers
Project management as a construction engineer from the planning stage to handover.
The Construction Manager is also responsible for promoting improvement and structuring across projects and departments, together with the department in charge of business improvement within the department.
Work Environment
2 members belong to.
The members of the team are mainly mid-career recruits.
Formerly, they will be members of the real estate and hotel development team with architectural knowledge and an operational perspective.
Mandatory Qualifications:
At least three years' experience in project management (real estate/construction industry/hotel industry etc. welcome)
Driving license
*Opportunities to drive on business trips etc.
Desired Qualifications:
PMO (Project Management Office) experience
Experience in new business or real estate business development
Experience in opening a hotel/inn/commercial shop
Experience in design/construction management
