Minimum Requirements

・Currently pursuing an Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree with an expected graduation by the end of March 2028

※Must be in school until the end of internship program

・Must be available for a 3-month on-site internship in 2026 (During the internship, remote is not eligible.)

・Have no more than 24 months of professional full-time work experience in the technology field (excluding internships, research and/or teaching assistant roles, and military experience)

・International students who require visa support must meet one of the following requirements:

・The internship program is part of your education and essential for your graduation

・This internship allows you to receive some credit(s) for your education program

・Have Bachelor degree at the time of application

TEAM
Woven by Toyota develops, implements, and scales human-centered automated driving solutions for personal and commercial use. Our team is responsible for developing perception technologies and its production software for the AD/ADAS system.

To realize a fully reliable and highly functional system, we are tackling complex real-world problems utilizing large scale data, machine learning algorithms, and a variety of perception technologies.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The ideal candidate is self-motivated to find solutions to complex real-world problems, and makes an impact while contributing to a cross-functional team.

You will combine cutting-edge technologies with robust safety standards while also considering cost efficiency.

Also, you have patience to tackle the processes required for production development and approach them by asking "What can I do for you?" with a "Giver" mindset.

Responsibilities

Prompt improvement for LLMs/VLMs to generate datasets for autonomous driving (scene descriptions / meta-actions)
Fine-tuning and evaluation of LLMs/VLMs specialized for autonomous driving dataset generation
Construction of a pipeline for dataset generation
Quality evaluation of generated datasets, error pattern analysis, and development of an improvement cycle
Development of AI agents to support and accelerate MLOps development for DevBoost

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent knowledge and demonstrated ability)
Programming experience in Python
Experience designing prompts and building applications using LLM/VLMs (e.g. GPT-family, Gemini-family models)
Basic knowledge of collaborative software development using Git
Ability to read, understand, and discuss technical documentation in English


NICE TO HAVES
Experience with LLM fine-tuning, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and model evaluation
Experience designing and implementing AI agents (tool-calling, workflow-based agents, etc.)
Experience building development or experimentation environments using Docker
Knowledge of or interest in Data Science, Computer Vision and AutomotiveF
