Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our ATS Japan accounting team.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving timely and accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with local and global standards (GAAP, US GAAP, SOX), and providing key financial insights to support strategic business decisions.
You will also play a key role in the successful implementation of systems and process improvements, working cross-functionally to enhance operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of financial reports and deliverables.
Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring compliance and prompt resolution of outstanding items.
Provide cost and margin analysis, including periodic standard cost reviews and ad hoc profitability assessments.
Oversee fixed asset accounting and working capital components (inventory, accounts payable, accounts receivable).
Ensure robust internal controls are in place and adhered to, supporting SOX and local statutory compliance.
Deliver insightful financial analysis to support decision-making, trend identification, and business strategy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support pricing proposals, cost estimations, and financial inputs for operational initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience with proven leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with complex financial data analysis.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Fluent in Japanese with professional-level English proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with HFM/Hyperion and ERP systems (Epicor a strong plus).
Solid understanding of US GAAP, local GAAP, and SOX compliance.
CPA certification and/or experience in a public accounting/audit firm highly desirable.

月次決算プロセスを主導・管理し、財務報告書および成果物の正確性とタイムリーな提出を確保します。
仕訳および勘定科目の照合をレビュー・承認し、コンプライアンスを確保し、未払項目を迅速に解決します。
定期的な標準原価レビューやアドホックな収益性評価を含む、コストおよびマージン分析を提供します。

固定資産会計および運転資本構成要素(在庫、買掛金、売掛金)を統括します。
SOX法および現地法規の遵守を徹底し、堅牢な内部統制が整備され、遵守されていることを確認します。

必要要件
会計、財務または関連分野の学士号。
関連する会計/財務分野での5年以上の経験があり、実績のあるリーダーシップまたは監督責任を有すること。
Microsoft Excelに精通し、複雑な財務データ分析の経験があること。
ペースが速く、期限が重視される環境において、複数の優先事項を管理できる能力があること。
日本語が堪能で、プロフェッショナルレベルの英語力があること。
望ましい資格
HFM/HyperionおよびERPシステムの実務経験(Epicorは大きな強み)。
米国GAAP、ローカルGAAP、およびSOX法コンプライアンスに関する確かな理解。
CPA資格、または公認会計士/監査法人での経験があれば尚可。
