Property and Maintenance Assistant

Salary: ¥1,800 per hour 

Reports to: Property Supervisor

The Role: 

The General Property & Maintenance Assistant supports the smooth daily operation of staff accommodation and company facilities for Rhythm Japan throughout the season. This role is hands-on and varied, helping with staff housing checks, gomi (rubbish) and recycling, snow clearing, and general maintenance tasks. You will work closely with the Property team to keep our spaces safe, functional, and welcoming for staff.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist with snow clearing around entrances, walkways, staff housing, and other designated company areas.
• Support gomi (rubbish) and recycling runs, ensuring correct sorting and compliance with local rules.
• Keep gomi collection areas tidy, organised, and safe.
• Respond to maintenance issues and requests across staff accommodation and company stores as required.
• Use tools and equipment safely and ensure they are stored and maintained correctly.
• Help organise storage areas and keep equipment rooms tidy.
• Support deliveries, movement of items, and general property tasks as needed.
• Assist the Property team during emergencies, urgent repairs, or unexpected issues.
• Uphold company values and maintain a positive, team-focused approach.

What you need to succeed:

• A practical, hands-on attitude and willingness to jump in where needed.
• Comfortable with physical work and outdoor tasks in winter conditions.
• Reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Basic DIY or maintenance experience is helpful but not essential.
• Able to lift and carry up to 20 kg and work safely on snow and ice.
• Eligible to work in Japan for the duration of the season.
• Japanese language skills highly desirable.

プロパティ&メンテナンスアシスタントは、シーズン中のスタッフ宿泊施設および会社施設の円滑な運営をサポートします。この仕事は、現場での作業が中心ですが、多岐にわたります。スタッフ宿泊施設の点検、ゴミやリサイクルの管理、除雪作業、一般的なメンテナンス業務などを担当します。プロパティチームと密に連携し、施設を安全で機能的、かつ快適な環境に保つ役割です。

主な業務内容:

• 入口、通路、スタッフ宿泊施設、指定エリアでの除雪作業の補助
  
  
• ゴミ・リサイクルの運搬・管理、地域ルールに沿った分別
  
  
• ゴミ置き場を整理・清掃・安全に保つ
  
  
• スタッフ宿泊施設や会社倉庫のメンテナンス依頼への対応
  
  
• 道具や機材の安全な使用と適切な保管・管理
  
  
• 収納エリアや機材室の整理整頓
  
  
• 配送や物品移動などの一般的なサポート業務
  
  
• 緊急時や急な修理対応へのサポート

• 冬季の屋外作業や体力を使う業務に抵抗がない方

• 円滑なコミュニケーションができ、指示を理解して行動できる方
  
  
• DIYや簡単なメンテナンス経験がある方は歓迎(必須ではありません)
  
  
• 20kgまでの物を持ち運び、雪や氷のある環境でも安全に作業できる方
  
  
• シーズン期間中、日本で合法的に就労可能な方
