This is a full-time role for a Full Stack Engineer located in Tokyo, Japan.
The Full Stack Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions, designing and implementing both front-end and back-end systems, and supporting the development of scalable web applications.
Day-to-day tasks include coding, debugging, and ensuring software integration, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve technical goals.
RequirementsBased in the Tokyo metropolitan area (or able to commute to Tokyo occasionally when required)
2+ years of experience in developing web applications or cloud services
Experience with Python or JavaScript/TypeScript
Experience with team-based development using Git
Experience with Docker or other container-based development/deployment tools
Preferred Experiences
Experience in microservices, API design, and cloud-native architecture
Experience with test automation, code quality improvement, and agile development
Development experience using FastAPI, , , React, etc.
Experience with geospatial libraries such as PostGIS, GeoPandas, GDAL
Experience building and operating systems on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFront, etc.)
DevOps experience (CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging infrastructure)
Knowledge or interest in geospatial analysis or remote sensing
Basic Japanese communication skills for smooth collaboration within the team.
