Department Overview
The Global Ad Technology Department (GATD) manages the whole of the advertising systems that power Rakuten.
We are a cross-functional and data-driven organization working together in a diverse team spread across five countries: Japan, Singapore, India, China and UK.

By our data-driven technologies we empower both advertisers and publishers in creating effective partnerships to successfully reach consumers and accelerate performance.
Our group is responsible for building with state of art affiliate platform to support business needs.We work with Product/Project management team to plan/design the technical solution, communicate with Product manager, stakeholders and reporting as well as creation and delivery of product development.
We also monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals.Position

We expect this person to plan and design the technical solution, communicate with stakeholders and work with the development team to deliver the product.
Position Details
Understand product needs to define system specifications.
Plan and design the structure of a technology solution.
Communicate system requirements to software development teams.
Evaluate and select appropriate software/hardware and suggest/design integration methods.
Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to team members.
Hands on and assist with solving technical problems when they arise.
Ensure the implementation of agreed architecture and infrastructure.
Address technical concerns, ideas, and suggestions.
Monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals.
Mandatory Qualifications
At least 10 years of experience in product development.
Experience in leading an engineering team.
Communication skill to keep various stakeholders on the same page.
Proven experience on Architecture design, programming languages (Java/JavaScript/HTML), databases(MYSQL, MongoDB), frameworks(Spring/Spring boot/jQuery).
Proven experience of troubleshooting and data analysis.
Have a mindset to be proactive and have a passion for continuous improvement.
Proactive self-starter with self-motivated mind.
Strong get-things-done mind with a sense of ownership.
Desired Qualifications
Experience as a Technically working with cross-functional teams.
Familiar with Agile practices.
Familiarity with big data technologies- Hadoop, Hive.
Understanding of advertising technologies and solutions.
