"特殊鋼の生産から、ばねや素材形などの製品製造までを一貫して行う特殊鋼メーカー"
三菱製鋼は特殊鋼を生産するだけでなく、高い加工技術や成形技術などを活かして、さまざまな金属製品を製造しています。その製品の提供先は、自動車業界や建設機械業界を中心に幅広い分野におよびます。また、取引先のグローバル化に伴い、海外拠点を通じて世界のさまざまな地域に製品を提供し、豊かな暮らしやインフラを支えています。

「人を活かす経営」を掲げ、人材育成に力を入れています。例えば新入社員研修では、ビジネスマナーなどの導入研修や英語研修、各事業所にて工場見学などを実施します。またエルダー制度(一人一人に年齢の近い先輩社員が専属で付き教育を担当)を導入しているため、仕事はもちろん、寮生活のフォローなど公私ともにバックアップしてくれます。失敗を恐れず、若いうちから幅広く仕事に挑戦出来る環境があります。

中長期的な変革テーマとして、「国内事業基盤の強化」「海外展開の加速」「事業のシナジー発揮」に取り組んでいます。具体的には、事業(特殊鋼鋼材、ばね、素形材)それぞれの生産拠点に置いていた研究開発機能を集約した技術開発センターを立ち上げ、事業の横断的な開発を可能とし、「特殊鋼をつくり加工する」という当社の強みを「付加価値を素材から創る」に発展させ、グローバルな展開に力を入れています。
建設機械用太巻ばね世界トップシェア
三菱製鋼は「素材から製品まで一貫した生産体制を軸として、日本のものづくりを支える技術革新や研究開発に取り組んでいます。ばね事業部では、特殊鋼鋼材事業部で製造したばね鋼を加工し、自動車や建設機械、精密部品等に使用されるばねを製造しております。その中でも建設機械用太巻きばねは世界トップシェアを獲得しており、主力製品の一つとなっております。
