Head of Finance ファッション小売業財務責任者 | Fashion Retail (15-18m JPY, Hybrid, Health perks)

Our client, a leading company in the fashion retail industry, is seeking a Head of Finance fluent in Japanese for a hybrid role offering a competitive salary of 15-18 million JPY.

This position provides the opportunity to lead a team of accountants, oversee all accounting operations, and support strategic financial planning, working closely with executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee monthend and yearend close processes
• Prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS
• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
• Design and enforce internal controls for data integrity
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff
• Analyze financial performance to identify trends and risks
• Manage banking relationships and oversee treasury operations
• Lead ERP/accounting systems implementation or enhancement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
• Fluency in Japanese, Businesslevel English
• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management
• 3+ years in a managerial or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS
• Proficiency with ERP systems SAP S4/HANA, HFM (Hyperion)
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
• Experience in the retail industry is preferred but not mandatory
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is preferred but not mandatory
