NW Operations Engineer

Position details:
Lead the overall operations of highly public-interest communication services that support national security and social infrastructure, from a core network perspective.
Drive the design, implementation, and improvement of operations to maintain extremely high reliability, availability, security, and compliance required for mission-critical services.
Apply and maintain relevant policies, processes, and technical requirements across the entire communication infrastructure for services that demand legal and regulatory compliance.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA), rapid recovery, and permanent countermeasure planning and execution for complex incidents across the entire core network.
Ensure operational readiness and minimize service impact during core network changes, upgrades, and new feature introductions.Promote operational automation and efficiency of the core network by leveraging cloud-native principles and open technologies.
Collaborate closely with Network Planning, Engineering, OSS, and other operations teams (e.g., RAN, IMS, Transport), as well as vendors, to ensure seamless service delivery and achieve operational goals.
Minimum qualifications:
7+ years of practical experience in mobile communication network operations.
Business-level English proficiency (all 4 skills: reading, writing, speaking, listening).
Business-level Japanese proficiency (all 4 skills: reading, writing, speaking, listening).
Deep knowledge and operational experience across mobile core networks (LTE EPC, 5G Core, IMS, etc.)
and related RAN and Transport networks:
Architecture, functions, and interactions of key functional elements (e.g., MME, SGW, PGW, AMF, SMF, UPF, SBC, CSCF).
Deep understanding and troubleshooting experience with major network protocols (e.g., SIP, Diameter, GTP, PFCP, BGP).
Operational experience with services having specific communication requirements (e.g., priority handling, location information integration, handling of instantaneous high traffic loads).
Operational experience with systems requiring extremely high reliability and availability (24/365):Knowledge and operational experience related to redundancy, failover, disaster recovery (DR), and high-availability design.
Operational experience under strict security policies, legal regulations, and compliance requirements.
Experience operating highly sensitive information or critical social infrastructure is a plus.
Operational experience with mobile networks utilizing cloud-native technologies (virtualization, containers, orchestration).
Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix OS, and automation experience using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell Script).
Advanced troubleshooting skills using network protocol analysis (e.g., Wireshark), monitoring tools, and log analysis tools.
Experience in large-scale communication infrastructure operations, project leadership, and mentoring team members.
