Overview

The Senior Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex digital projects within an advertising agency environment.

This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and deep knowledge of digital marketing, creative production, and technology platforms.

You will act as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Responsibilities

What you will do with us:
Own large, complex projects end-to-end, serving as the client delivery lead and ensuring successful delivery of outcomes through structured planning, execution, and oversight
Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations, applying financial acumen and resource forecasting to ensure precise delivery under pressure
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies
Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional project teams, fostering alignment and accountability across disciplines and stakeholders
Collaborate with creative, design, development, and media teams to deliver high-quality work
Ensure adherence to project scope, quality standards, and agency processes
Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations
Champion project management best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital marketing, e-commerce, and CRM, and share knowledge and insights with the team

Qualifications


What you will bring:
5-8 years in project management within a digital or advertising agency environment
Familiarity with CMS platforms, digital media specs, and marketing technology
In-depth knowledge of marketing tech solutions, preferably having worked with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches
Expertise in project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Jira)
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in English with an understanding of Japanese work culture and business ethics
Strategic and consulting focused management with C-level executives to nurture trusted relationships
Leading multiple projects and client engagement with revenue, quality and timeline accountability

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing personalization campaigns and integrated marketing programs
Understanding of UX/UI principles and web development processes
PMP or similar certification is a plus
Ability to conduct business meetings in Japanese is a plus
