Job DescriptionDepartment
The Finance group in Asia Pacific performs multiple functions and is a key unit in the region. The Finance team is responsible for financial, capital, tax, management and regulatory reporting. The team also manages the Accounts Payable process for the region. The group works closely with local and global stakeholders to deliver on its mandate.
Job Role/Responsibilities
The candidate will be primarily responsible for the management of Japan Asset Management and Securities business finance related tasks as listed below:
Regulatory Reporting – Responsible for completing regulatory returns.
Management Reporting – Responsible for producing management deck and perform ad hoc analysis.
Capital Reporting – Responsible for monitoring capital adequacy for the entities.
Tax Reporting – Responsible for completing tax returns for the entities. This would also cover Transfer Pricing related items.
Accounts Payable - Expense management/processing
Head Office reporting
Audit – Work with Internal/External auditors to close out any gaps.
Projects - Includes automation initiative, EUC deliverables and other regional/global projects.
Other duties as assigned.
The role provides a great learning opportunity and provides excellent exposure to the various facets of the finance function from both a "Run the bank" and "Change the bank" perspective fostering one's career in the field of Finance and Accounting.
Professionally qualified (CPA/ACCA/CA)
Good understanding of Japan's regulatory/financial (JGAAP) reporting requirements
Past experience within Asset Management business is a big plus
Advanced/Superior proficiency in Japanese language is required. Intermediate/Advanced English speaking ability.
Preferably 5+ years of experience.
Big 4 candidates within Finance or Audit background would be considered.
