Job Title: Accountant
Job Summary: The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning within the organization. This role requires expertise in accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and business operations to ensure accurate financial reporting and support informed decision-making by the executive team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for both standalone and consolidated entities.
- Coordinate with external auditors for timely completion of audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships to optimize liquidity.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to local and international tax regulations.
- Evaluate and implement accounting software and systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business initiatives and investment decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments to drive operational improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- 3+ years of accounting or finance experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting standards.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP System
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills - ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and high degree of integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
Desired Skillsets:
- Prior people management or supervision experience preferred
- MBA or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or business related field.
- Experience in a publicly traded company or IPO preparation
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements
- Certification in Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
- Experience working in a global or multinational organization
