What You'll Do
As a Regional Creative Manager in BCG's Design Studios team, you will be a key creative leader shaping the visual voice of BCG. You will drive creative direction, oversee multi-disciplinary teams, and elevate the impact of our design solutions across verticals such as Visual Design, Digital Experiences, Content Strategy, and Motion/Video. Your role blends creative vision with hands-on execution, nurturing talent and scaling innovation across consulting engagements.
You will act as a strategic partner to BCG consultants and leadership, co-creating engaging narratives, developing breakthrough visual communication, and ensuring our creative output meets both business objectives and brand standards. As a steward of design excellence in the region, you will play a pivotal role in building design culture, modernizing creative workflows, and enabling new capabilities in areas such as AI-assisted design, digital storytelling, and cross-channel brand expression.
In addition, you will develop and deliver our design strategy service offering and help drive innovation and engaging partnerships with the BCG Consulting Team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead end-to-end creative direction and execution for client-facing and internal design projects.
- Champion quality and innovation across multiple creative disciplines with a strong focus on scalability and efficiency.
- Translate complex business problems into visually engaging and intuitive design solutions, aligned with BCG's global brand standards.
- Act as a creative coach and mentor, developing talent within DS and ensuring high-performance collaboration across teams.
- Partner with consulting teams to co-create compelling design narratives and campaign assets tailored to regional needs.
- Oversee resource planning and delivery excellence, balancing creativity with timelines and business requirements.
- Develop and implement regional creative guidelines, ensuring cultural relevance and global brand consistency.
- Introduce and pilot new tools, platforms, and design methodologies to enhance impact and efficiency.
- Drive cross-functional ideation sessions, elevating concept development and storytelling across digital, visual, and experiential formats.
What You'll Bring
- Native/Business level Japanese and Excellent English required.
- Bachelor's degree in design, Digital Media, Visual Communication, or related field (Master's preferred or equivalent professional experience).
- 10+ yearof experience in a creative leadership role within an agency, in-house studio, or digital consultancy—preferably in a regional or global capacity.
- Deep expertise in design systems, creative direction, and digital storytelling across multiple mediums (web, video, brand campaigns, content platforms).
- A strong creative portfolio showcasing a mix of strategic thinking, storytelling, and visual excellence across industries.
- Proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, motion tools) with strong working knowledge in MS PowerPoint to support high client team demands. Strong interest or experience in Gen AI tools and workflows is highly valued, along with familiarity with automation or UX principles.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring high-performing creative teams, with a strong emphasis on hands-on design contribution, especially in fast-paced consulting or in-house environments. Comfortable working across remote, hybrid, and cross-functional settings.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently engage executive stakeholders, translate creative concepts for non-design audiences, and advocate for design in strategic discussion

Our team includes leadership teams, creative strategists, project managers, operations, visual designers, digital experts, content creators, and motion artists—all working at the intersection of business, design, and technology.
You'll collaborate with BCG consultants, practice leaders, and other regional creatives to shape experiences that move audiences and generate business impact. Together, we craft ideas that are bold, human-centric, and distinctly BCG.
