Basic purpose of the job:

Distribution & Partnership Lead contribute strategic and sustainable business partnership between BIAHJ and direct business partners and build, manage, and optimize distribution strategy, rebate end-to-end process, credit management, and partners' engagement.

Accountabilities & Related performance indicators:

  • Practice comprehensive business partnership activities (efficient processes, regular communication schemes, documentation/management/contracts, new product launches, budget planning, commercial policies, pricing, rebate plan monitoring) to establish a trustworthy relationship between CA/LS business segments and distributors/wholesalers

-Plan necessary measures and action plans together with the business divisions to achieve sales targets and secure BI profit.

  • Solve the challenges of BIAHJ and distributors/WSs to aim for maximizing the benefits from the partnership.

-Strongly support the achievement sales target and monitoring rebate plan.

-Plan sales forecast including gross-to-net through monitoring sell-out, Sell-in and Distributors/WSs' stock level and business insights.

-Occasionally visit business partners with Biz teams to enhance business relationship and gather actionable insights.

  • Properly share information with all stakeholders to support informed business decisions by providing detailed analysis and recommendations.

-Collect, compile, analyse, and report on quantitative and qualitative information of Distributors/WSS.

-Gather competitors' information from the Sales Manager, analyse them, and reflect them in the BIAHJ's plan.

  • Lead in all areas of distribution strategy execution and strategy not covered above

-Manage end-to-end process of Pricing and rebate settlement.

-Lead credit management process to minimize credit risk.

Regulatory and / or Organisational Requirements:

-Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with respective applicable BI Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), BI Code of Conduct, BI processes and regulatory requirements.

-Ensure that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with BI values as well as complying with local, and where relevant international law.

Job Complexity:

-Commercial team (Business Segment Head, Head of Sales and Marketing, Managers of Sales and Marketing),Finance and CSCM.

-Global CE team and related functions.

-Optimize BIAHJ's profit through maximizing engagement with Business Partners as a specialist of Distribution Strategy.

Minimum Education/Degree Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree.

-Major/Focus: N/A

Required Capabilities (Skills, Experience, Competencies):

Must have

-Experience in human health care, pharmaceutical industry, animal health industry

-Strong analytical skills and logical thinking

-A strong personal drive, sense of urgency, ability to work under pressure, timeline awareness and ability to meet tight deadlines

-An awareness and acumen for working amongst different cultures.

-Advanced communication and interpersonal skills

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word...), tableau and database applications.

-Understand global strategy and initiative and implement locally

-Native Fluent Japanese

Preferred

-Experience in Distribution, SCM, logistics department

-Solid understanding of pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, supply chain and marketing functions

-Business level English (ideally TOEIC score of 730 or above)
