Description
Name of the School: Seto SOLAN Gakuen
Position: Native or Native-level Primary School Homeroom Teacher
(Full Time, Three months probationary period)
We are a Japanese private elementary school (based on the Japanese national curriculum)and not functioning as an independent international school or an English conversation school.
The Primary School Homeroom Teacher teaching position requires teaching children in grades 1- 6 and working together with a counterpart Japanese homeroom teacher. The prospective Primary School Teacher homeroom teacher will also conduct morning meetings, do their own lesson planning, and teach other subjects in English.
In addition, the applicant should have a broad understanding of Japanese school working ethics and culture, flexibility in a fast-paced environment, a can-do attitude with a strong sense of responsibility, an initiative to partake in other duties assigned by the school, and more importantly, knows how to respect other cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds.
We focus on:
・Problem solving and inquiry-based learning
・Utilizing ICT
・Developing English language acquisition through conducting 30~40% of the classes in English
Remuneration:
Basic Salary:¥250,000~¥320,000 per month
(Salary varies depending on qualification and experience)
Other Benefits include:
Transportation expenses: maximum of ¥20,000 per month
OR
Rent subsidy: maximum of ¥30,000 per month ( This is only available for teachers who opt to live within the schools proximity)

Qualifications/Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree or higher
-Elementary teaching experience of at least two (2) years either in your home country or within Japan (Not necessary for new graduates of accredited universities)
-Applicants having Middle or High School experiences in Japan will also be considered as we have plan to open a middle school from April 2025
-Willingness and ability to abide by and implement an English learning/ Problem solving/ Inquiry-based curriculum
- Possess experience and/or qualification in TEFL/TESL/TESOL
Desired, but non-mandatory qualifications:
-Possess an accredited Elementary School license (Middle or High School license will also be considered)
-Willingness and ability to work for at least three (3) years
-Experience teaching their subject specialization
SUBJECT AREA: English, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education, music, art

• Bachelor's degree or higher/ 学士号、大学卒業以上
• Elementary teaching experience of at least two (2) years(Middle or High School experiences will also be considered)/ 2年以上の小学校教員経験(中高でも)
• Willingness and ability to implement an English Learning, Problem solving, Inquiry-based curriculum/ 英語教育、課題解決・探究型の教育に意欲と能力
• Demonstrate an understanding and interest in Japanese culture and language.(No Japanese skill necessary)/ 日本語や日本文化に強い理解・興味がある(日本語力は問わない)

小学校教師の担任教師の職種では、1年生から6年生までの児童を教え、日本人担任教師と協力して働く必要があります。また、小学校教師の担任教師は、朝のミーティングを実施し、個々の授業計画を立て、英語でそれぞれの科目を教えます。ただし、教師の職種や職務内容は個人のスキルとパフォーマンスをもとに決まりますので、ご理解ください。
さらに、応募者は、日本の学校の労働倫理と文化に対する幅広い理解、ペースの速い環境における柔軟性、強い責任感を持ったやる気のある姿勢、学校から割り当てられた他の職務に参加する積極性、そして何よりも、他の文化、民族、背景を尊重する姿勢を必要としています。

基本給:月額250,000~320,000円

資格/要件:
-学士号以上
-母国または日本国内で少なくとも2年間の小学校教育経験(認定大学の新卒者には不要)
-2025年4月から中学校を開校する予定があるため、日本で中学校または高校の経験がある応募者も考慮されます
-英語学習/問題解決/探究型カリキュラムを遵守し、実施する意欲と能力
-TEFL/TESL/TESOL/IELTSの経験および/または資格を有する
望ましい(ただし必須ではない)資格:
-認定小学校免許を有する(中学校または高校の免許も考慮されます)
-少なくとも3年間働く意欲と能力
-専門科目の指導経験
科目領域:英語、生活科(低学年の社会/理科)、体育、音楽、図画工作
• 英語:ネイティブまたはネイティブレベル
• 現在日本に居住している必要があります
•学士号以上/現在、大学卒業以上
• 小学校での教育経験が2年以上(中学校または高校での経験も考慮されます)
• 英語学習、問題解決、探究型の教育に意欲と能力
• 日本の文化と言語に対する理解と関心を示せること。(日本語スキルは不要)
