Description
UPBEAT International School is a privately owned school located in Nakagawa and Tempaku Ward in Nagoya. We are officially an International Baccalaureate World school with the commitment to the development of inquiry and critical thinking skills in the children at our school.
We are seeking experienced English teachers, currently residing in Japan, who can help us build on our positive reputation and continue to grow. UPBEAT consists of almost 40 people with multiple nationalities and cultures, so being a team player is a crucial element of this job.
Student ages range from preschool to elementary. We teach in small group size, giving both students and teachers the advantage of more one on one attention. This school is ideal for a person who has an awareness of children's development needs. We are looking for self-motivated, creative individuals who are passionate about teaching and dedicated to creating a nurturing learning environment for our students.
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:
*Must hold a university bachelor's degree.
*Have prior experience working with children.
*Possess a valid work visa.
*Have a minimum of one year teaching experience in Japan.
*Be able to commit to working for one year or more.
*Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
*Maintain a smoke-free lifestyle and exhibit appropriate conduct as a teacher for children.
Teachers must be available to work the following schedules:
5 days, Monday to Saturday (Sundays plus one other day off) Elementary Monday to Friday
Full-time positions require 40 hours per week. Part-time positions are available from Monday to Saturday.
Additionally, teachers must be willing to participate in school events such as Easter, Halloween, and Christmas.
