About The Role
In the role of Producer, Anime Co-Production, you will report to the Vice President of Anime Production Team A.

We are considering applicants for the location of Tokyo, Japan.

The main goal of your role will be to co-develop and produce content together with production partners that attracts potential new Anime fans in the global market, keeps them interested with exciting storylines and beautiful animation, and introduces new genres to the world that they've never seen in the animated world. You will pay close attention to trends in each territory to select content that earns as much viewership as possible, contributes to acquiring new subscribers to the platform, and generates additional profit.

You will support Senior Producers in the Anime Co-Production Team regarding content line-up strategy building and team management. You must understand the content production business and a network in the industry, allowing you to develop and produce content not only on your own but also in collaboration with the other members of the team. As a Producer, Anime Co-Production, you will coach the Associate Producers on the team, providing constructive feedback as a mentor.

Core Areas of Responsibility

• Partner with production committees to develop, produce, and deliver premium anime content that meets Crunchyroll's quality standards and resonates with global audiences.
• Analyze market trends and audience insights to identify, evaluate, and secure the most promising sources and projects, tailoring content strategies to the needs and opportunities of each territory.
• Contribute to the production strategy, ensuring agreement on our goals and long-term growth priorities.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of Associate Producers, guiding them through all stages of production projects. Recruit and onboard important talent from the anime industry.
• Be the important contact and trusted strategic partner for internal teams and Anime Production Committees, ensuring all projects are developed within agreed scope and requirements, and are delivered on time and to specification.

About You

• 5+ years of experience developing content and participating in anime production committees within the anime sector.
• Deep understanding of the content production business, with established network connections across the anime industry.
• Solid knowledge of the rights management business and its application in content production and distribution.
• Experience managing multiple production projects
• Experience and willingness to be hands-on with production tasks and strategies.
• Experience in analyzing issues from multiple perspectives and making informed decisions.
• Well-versed in trends and developments in the anime industry, both within Japan and internationally.

About The Team
While Crunchyroll is widely recognized for its acquisitions, it has also established itself as a valued distribution and investment partner within the Japanese anime industry. The Co-Production Team is a part of the Content team and is dedicated to collaborating with third-party partners on the production of anime titles. The team's strategic focus is to strengthen Crunchyroll's title lineup and contribute to the growth of the anime market across its serviced territories.
