Role Overview

Our global team, PlayStation Studios' International Production & Localisation, work with some of the most creative and quality-driven development teams in the games industry. We are responsible for providing best in class localisation, production and publishing solutions to enable PlayStation Studios and development partners to deliver outstanding games to a global audience.

Based in Tokyo and Malaysia, our team of producers and localisation specialists are responsible for exceptional game localisations, like the critically acclaimed Ghost of Tsushima. They also work closely with Marketing and PR to support promotional activities as well as providing the expert knowledge of the Asian markets and regional sensitivities to both anticipate and mitigate regional publishing risks.

We are now looking for a Localisation Producer to join our talented team and manage game localisation projects for PlayStation Studios releases in Asia.

What you'll be doing

• Actively manage localisation projects; creating and managing budgets and working with localisation specialists, vendors and QA to deliver high-quality localisation in Asian languages such as Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Korean and Thai.

• Liase with the IPL and development teams to understand and execute the creative vision for a game title within local markets.

• Facilitate and support the publishing process for titles within the Asian market.

• Coordinate with Sales & Marketing departments to execute marketing campaigns for games and various products.

• Actively contribute to the IPL team globally to share knowledge, information and to support the team culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years experience in the PC, console or mobile gaming industry in a production capacity.

• Fluency in English and Chinese (Traditional and/or Simplified) – exceptional command of both languages (verbal and written) is essential. The ability to also speak and write in Japanese is advantageous but not a requirement. Strong English-to-Chinese translation and editing skills will be considered a plus.

• Understanding of the game development process and supporting project management techniques.

• The ability to actively and directly communicate within a project team involving various stakeholders, fostering trust and understanding.

• Problem solving skills and the ability to identify and address risk within a game project.

• A passion for games as well as knowledge of the Asian and global gaming markets.

• Good communication skills; be comfortable presenting to colleagues and teams both in person and remotely.

• Self driven and being able to work independently and spontaneously under pressure; be able to multi-task.

• Experience and interest in the latest software tools and AI technology, including CAT tools such as MemoQ and product/bug management tools such as JIRA.

• Competence with the MS Office Suite and good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Some understanding of the ratings processes as well as familiarity with the publishing process in China would be advantageous.

今回募集しているローカライズプロデューサーは、PlayStation Studiosが開発するゲーム作品のアジアローカライズ版制作業務を担います。プロジェクトの中心となり、能動的にプロジェクトメンバーや関連部署を牽引することが求められます。

職務内容:

• 現場担当として複数プロジェクトを積極的に担い、予算やスケジュールを立案、ローカライズスペシャリストやQAと協力しながら高品質な繁体字・簡体字中国語、ハングル、タイ語などアジア言語のローカライズ制作を進行する。

• IPLチーム内および開発スタジオと連携して、アジア市場に向けクリエイティブで優れたアジア言語のローカライズを保証する。

• ゲーム作品のアジア版制作・パブリッシングを進行し、関連部門をサポートする。

• ゲームや様々な製品のマーケティングキャンペーンを実施するために、営業部門やマーケティング部門と連携する。

• 欧州拠点のIPLチームと緊密に連携し、情報やノウハウを共有することでグローバル組織としての成長に寄与する。
  
  

応募要件:

• PC、コンソールまたは携帯ゲーム制作の経験2年以上

• ビジネスレベル以上の中国語(繁体字かつ/または簡体字)および英語での筆記/読解/会話能力が必須。日本語でのコミュニケーションができる方が望ましい

• ゲーム開発のプロセス、およびプロジェクトマネジメントに関する理解

• プロジェクトメンバーと活発かつ友好的コミュニケーションを行い、交渉できる能力

• 円滑なプロジェクト進行を妨げるリスクを突き止めて適当な予防を講じ、問題が発生したときには問題の原因を突き止めて解決できる能力

• ゲーム制作への情熱と、ゲームの魅力をアジア圏の一般プレイヤーへ伝えられる能力

• 対面およびリモートでの社内外関係者との優れたコミュニケーション/プレゼンテーション能力

• 自己推進力があり、プレッシャーの下でも自立して即座に対応する。複数のタスクを同時にこなす能力

• JIRA、memoQ等の業務効率化ツール/ローカライズツールの知識

• 基本的なMicrosoft Officeスキル、特にMicrosoft Excelのスキル

• 中国のセンサーシップ審査や出版プロセスに関する知識や経験があれば尚良し
