IT Security Engineer (Haken)
. This role offers the opportunity to strengthen cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks in line with Japan's Financial Services Agency (FSA) guidelines. You will work closely with leadership to protect critical digital payment services used by millions, contributing to a secure and trusted financial ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage CSIRT-related cybersecurity operations and incident response activities
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, governance standards, and internal regulations
- Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity risk analysis and vulnerability assessments
- Create and deliver cybersecurity education and awareness content for employees
- Perform gap analysis against FSA cybersecurity compliance requirements
- Evaluate and implement security products to address identified security gaps
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years of professional experience in information security or cybersecurity
- Foundational knowledge of system development and operations (Network, Server, Cloud)
- Experience in security risk assessment or vulnerability diagnosis
- Knowledge of cloud security environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Business-level Japanese proficiency across speaking, reading, writing, and listening
Soft Skills:
- Strong coordination and negotiation skills across departments and stakeholders
- Excellent business communication skills for internal and external alignment
- Ability to understand and apply Secure by Design concepts in practical environments
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Business-level fluency required
- English: Fluent communication preferred for global collaboration
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in cybersecurity governance, compliance, and incident response
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Background in financial services, critical infrastructure, or regulated industries
- Exposure to DevSecOps, SIEM tools, or Zero Trust Security frameworks
