About the location: The 123-room Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto is the company's second destination in Japan, in the city's historic Higashiyama-ku district, close to the Kyoto National Museum and myriad heritage sites such as the Toyokuni Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple. Local artists are featured throughout the traditionally-inspired modern décor characterised by an understated Japanese aesthetic. The Hotel has a spa and fitness centre with a pool, and four food and beverage concepts. There are also 57 Four Seasons Private Residences.

Justification The Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto is looking for a The Lounge Captain. Candidates with passion for excellence, expertise in hospitality operations and proven leadership experience are invited to join Four Seasons. As a member of the Food & Beverage Division, the The Lounge Captain works across disciplines to deliver an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities

• Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for 24-hour a day in-room dining and in-room private bar services.


• Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.


• Assist Department Head to complete/meet PWT goal.


• Implement new benchmark standard training and assist Department Head to meet yearly goal.


• Ensure all menus in the Restaurant are clean and updated.


• Assist team and DH to assist department goal.


• Assist with the cleaning of operational areas.


• Perform any additional duties as assigned by Director of Restaurants and Bar.


• Ability to operate fax, scanner, copier, telephone, adding machine, calculator.


• Require knowledge of and the ability to operate computer equipment and Microsoft Office Suite software.


• Ability to read, write and speak English.


• Knowledge of Food & Beverage service, cost control.


• Maintain a harmonious and professional relationship with co-workers, supervisors and all departments.
