Responsibilities
Reports to:
HR Director
Team Structure: 6 Members (1 C&B Staff reporting to this role)
This role leads Compensation & Benefits (C&B) operations and strategy, ensuring compliance, market competitiveness, and alignment with business goals. It involves partnering with leaders, managing benefits and performance processes, and overseeing a small team.
This includes:
– Oversee payroll, benefits, insurance, tax, and data compliance
– Lead global/regional C&B programs and market benchmarking
– Partner with business leaders to design compensation plans
– Manage performance appraisals, salary reviews, and benefits
– Supervise and develop one C&B specialist
Qualifications
Native / Fluent Japanese language skills and permission to work in Japan required
Bachelor's degree or above
Business level English
Over 5 years of managerial experience in C&B or HR, with strong project leadership
Deep understanding of Japanese labor law and multinational benchmarking practices
Expertise in compensation structures and employee benefits programs
Skilled in MS Office tools and effective cross-level communication
Salary
Company is considering candidates up to 14M+ JPY annual (client may consider higher salary based on candidate skills and experience)
